Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Hiyozoo handles information in the Bear Lock iOS app and through its support channel.
Overview
Bear Lock does not require an account and does not use advertising, third-party analytics, or tracking. It does not automatically send your selected apps and websites, lock schedules, usage activity, or local operational records to Hiyozoo servers.
Information Stored on Your Device
Bear Lock stores the following information on your device to provide its features:
- Selections of apps, categories, and websites made through Apple's selection interface
- Lock start times, end times, durations, and recurrence settings
- Lock status and recent operational records needed to verify correct behavior
Selections are stored as protected data issued by Apple's Screen Time APIs. Bear Lock cannot read how you use the selected apps. This information stays in local storage shared by the app and its extensions and is not sent to Hiyozoo. Operational records are limited to the 50 most recent entries.
Optional In-App Purchases
Bear Lock may offer optional in-app purchases that support continued development. Purchasing does not change the app's features. Apple processes these payments, and Hiyozoo does not receive payment details such as your credit card number. See Apple's Privacy Policy for information about Apple's data practices.
Contacting Support
If you contact support by email, Hiyozoo handles your email address, message, and any screenshots or device information you choose to attach so it can reply and resolve the problem. This information is not used for advertising or tracking and is not sold. It is not provided to third parties for purposes unrelated to support unless required by law.
Support information is retained only as long as needed to provide support and prevent recurring issues, then deleted when it is no longer needed. To request deletion, contact us from the email address used for the original request.
Permissions and Deletion
- You can revoke Screen Time / Family Controls permission in iOS Settings. App blocking will stop working after permission is revoked.
- You can delete lock schedules within Bear Lock.
- Uninstalling Bear Lock deletes information stored locally by the app and its extensions.
- You can request deletion of information retained by support using the contact address below.
Changes to This Policy
If Bear Lock's features or data practices change, this page and its last-updated date will be revised. Material changes may also be announced in the app when appropriate.
